Lakeside Labor Day: Tawas City’s Shoreline Park’s Arts & Crafts Show
Don’t miss Tawas City’s 26th Annual Labor Day Arts and Crafts Show on September 3rd and 4th this summer. Taking place in Shoreline Park adjacent to Tawas City’s Town Square, the Arts and Crafts Show will have vendors selling anything from jewelry and furniture to clothes and lotions. The show offers over 130 booths of these handmade-only arts and crafts from local residents as well as food vendors selling fudge, salsa, and kettle corn.
Shoreline Park also forms its signature identity from its 450-foot-long pier that allows for its bench seating and fishing opportunities. The park’s location right on the shores of Lake Huron give it its unforgettable view, not to mention the picnic pavilions, restroom availability, and a sidewalk running its length that provides another option for a relaxing evening walk following the Arts and Crafts Show. You could also buy a snack from the log concession stand and walk down the pier to relax on one of its benches over the cool waters of Lake Huron. This may be one of your last chances for a warm outside day before Fall settles in to the state and cold weather starts its transition in.
The 26th Annual Arts and Crafts event starts Saturday the 3rd from 10AM-5PM and continues on Sunday the 4th from 10AM-4PM. You can be sure you won’t find any manufactured or mass produced items at this event, so this is the right place to find some local merchandise made by the area’s own residents to take back home with you or just to enjoy the day with.
