Huron House Elopement FAQ's

The Huron House is a unique waterfront or garden wedding venue.  Here are some questions that couples frequently ask about the elopement experience here.

How many people can attend the ceremony?

This is all dependent on what package you choose. Our “Just the Two of Us” package is strictly for you and your partner, with no additional guests. Our “Intimate Elopement” package allows for 8 additional guests.

Where does the ceremony take place?

Most couples prefer to have the ceremony on our beach, but we also have gorgeous gardens throughout our property, so this is entirely up to you. On the day of your arrival, you will walk the property with the elopement coordinator and choose the spot that best suits your vision.

What is included in an elopement package?

Details about our Elopement Wedding Packages can be found on the Just the Two of Us Elopement page or the Intimate Elopement page.

What isn’t included?

The cost of your lodging is not included in the package price and we require our couples to stay with us a minimum of two nights.

Can my pets be present just for the ceremony?

Sorry, our property is not pet friendly.

What can we do after the ceremony?

After the ceremony and photos, you are free to spend the rest of your day in whatever way you please. Most couples like to arrange for a nice dinner somewhere, some like to schedule their couples massage for directly after their ceremony and some just like to relax. It’s completely up to you.

What will my flowers and cake look like?

Your flowers and cake are customized to your unique vision. During the planning process, your elopement planner will ask you to send over inspiration photos for what you would like both to look like. We will in turn work with our florist and in-house pastry chef to make sure everything is to your exact specification.

If I select the “Intimate Elopement” package, are my guests required to stay at the Huron House?

While we prefer all guests on our property to be registered guests of the Huron House, we do not require your wedding guests to stay with us.

Do we have to be staying at Huron House to elope there?

Yes, we require elopement couples to stay a minimum of two nights with us.

What happens if it rains?

If there is even a chance of rain in the forecast for your wedding day, we will erect a tent large enough for 10 people.
