The Tawas Bay area’s annual winter festival, Perchville USA, takes place from January 31st to February 3rd. Activities include a kick-off breakfast, “chilly” cook-off, polar Bear plunge, fishing competitions, parade, softball on ice, and much more! Thousands of spectators’ flock to Tawas every year to enjoy everything that makes winter a fun time of the year!
The Chilly Cook-Off will be on Saturday, February 2nd at 11am in downtown East Tawas. Register by 11am for the polar bear plunge at 1:30pm or 3:30pm on Saturday or the Sunday swim at 1:30pm. Don't miss the parade and put your fishing skills to the test in the fishing tournament. Whatever you decide to do, the Perchville winter celebration is a great way to get to know Tawas, Oscoda, and the surrounding area, and how we still find a way to have fun in the long, winter months. Afterwards, return to the Huron House to cozy up beside your own fireplace in your luxurious room.
